This page describes the Tools that are supplied with GX-Ware Resource Control, in each case a brief description as well as a picture is provided.
 
Please note that a different selection of Tools is provided with each GX-Ware edition, refer to that specific page for the exact list of Tools.
 
 
Backup Manager 
  • Backup and restore GX-Ware databases.
  • Archive Old backups to reduce clutter.
     

In the picture the Backup Manager displays the list of backups, the user can choose options among restoring a backup and exporting it out to CD.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

 
Client Connection Manager 
  • Connect a single client to several databases.
  • Use several databases at once by running extra copies of GX-Ware.
 The Connection Manager is shown with connections configure to 3 different GX-Ware Server databases.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Database Cleaner
  • Delete unwanted scanning records to reduce database size and increase security report speed.
     
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Document Printer 
 The Document Printer is used to print large numbers of documents from a selected location on the computer’s disk drive. The ‘recursive’ option can be used to print documents in sub-folders.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Page And Line Manager
  • Configure your application by adding new data pages and lines.
  • Live update sends changes to all connected clients.
     
 
 In the picture extra pages have been added to the database, (shown in blue text), pages and lines in red are reserved for use by the system.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
User Account Manager 
  • Administrate database connections.
  • Configure user accounts rapidly using export files.
 
In the picture 3 users have been created for the current database. These users can be deleted or can have their names changed. To make setting up GX-Ware easier, all of the details for a user can be saved in a file which will be read by the Client Connection Manager.
